New Feed-In Tariff Program!

The MicroFIT and FIT Program officially started on October 1, 2009.

Get paid 80.2 cents for all the solar power you produce.

The New Feed-in Tariff (FIT) Program, is offered by the utility companies in Ontario. This is where the utility company purchases all the electricity that you produce from your solar system at a rate of $.802 per kilowatt-hour. All solar electric systems under 10 kilowatts qualify for this great rate. The electricity you buy from the utility company will only cost you the current rate per kilowatt-hour, which is approximately $.06 per kilowatt-hour.

The $.802 rate is guaranteed for 20 years by the Ontario Power Authority through your local utility company.

They have produced a streamline application for the MicroFIT Program for solar systems under 10 KW's in size. Most residential systems are under 10 KW's in size. The FIT Program is for solar systems larger then 10 KW's in size, usually commercial systems.

Toronto RISE Again Recommended Vendor!

Sun Volts Unlimited™ is pleased to announce that our Toronto Location has been selected as the Recommended Vendor of Grid-Tied Solar Electric Systems for the Riverdale Initiative for Solar Energy (RISE, Again) Project.

The RISE, Again Solar Project is located in Ward 30 of Toronto. Sun Volts Unlimited™ has developed special systems and a great turnkey system that we will supply and install throughout this area. We are looking forward to the Public Meetings for this area and providing free site visits throughout all of Toronto.
